I have given a lot of thought on how to dose KZ and AcroPower products to my tank. The issue with many of these additives, and other brands, is that they must be shaken prior to dosing. This obviously doesn't work well when using a doser and therefore must manually be dosed. I have come up with a solution that so far (a month) has proven to be effective. I purchased an automatic lab stirrer (or beer yeast) from amazon.

I then simply added whatever I wanted and used my apex to set the stirrer to turn on 10 minutes prior to the time my doser is set to dose appropriate amount for my tank. The Apex then turns off 10 minutes after this dosing time. I have set up the 25-30 minute window to allow for any fluctuation between times on the two devices. I am now giving greater consideration toward the Apex DOS so that times will be synced and this wouldn't be a concern.

Smart. I'm a home brewer and used magnetic stir plates when I was doing a lot of yeast slanting and propagation. I ended up repurposing mine for the same thing because I just buy fresh yeast for my brews now anyway. [emoji41]
