Ok so i have 130lbs. of Marco Dry Rock in 44 gallon Brute containers. The rocks were leaching phosphates bad so i have been dosing them with Phosfree for about 2 months. Now with the Hanna Checker initially they read 0.225 and now they stay steady at 0.021.
Heres the question. I know everyone says to shake the rocks in some water to rinse of the precipitant from the LC before placing in the tank. Well i removed the powerhead that was circulating the water in the brute tubs and the white haze from the LC was not easy to take off. I had to scrub with a toothbrush. Now is this going to be a problem with the rocks? what if it just doesn't come with shaking it in clean water. Is it really practical scrubbing 130lbs of pourus Also the rocks are whit so not even sure if it is off anyways.
