No - routine additions of PZQ is not suggested. What happens is that causes a population of heterotrophic bacteria to grow that is able to consume PZQ - rendering it useless. Anything more than 4 or 5 treatments will cause this to happen. This bacteria stays in the tank for a long time, rendering future use also a problem.

Hello Jay, I would like to inquire whether prazi powder can be used for routine disinfection of aquariums in order to reduce the likelihood of outbreaks of latent parasites.
Because I am concerned that the eggs of certain parasites may remain attached to the fish and only hatch several months later, or that parasites may be introduced through the inadvertent sharing of equipment.

The QT protocol here will render even eggs/cyst of parasites useless if followed correctly. It’s why I tell most to do the full 30 days, then observation period before putting a fish into a DT. The reward is worth it if you ask me.

Somewhat embarrassingly, due to the strict internet regulations here in China, I'd been following the domestic 14-day quarantine protocol until I discovered Reef2Reef — which is probably why I'm now seeing what looks like parasite symptoms in my tank.

Just don't be silly and use a VPN. All students I had in China used one or another. But under no circumstances use VPN connection for anything Chinese authorities may find even remotely questionable. For such activities you would need a really secure connection, The VPNs popular in China are not even remotely secure.
