I am going to be setting up an Avast kalk stirrer. I've never used a kalk stirrer or a dosing pump for that matter. I'm looking at the kamoer x1 pro t or the x1 pro t2. Is one more appropriate than the other?

Thanks.

How big is your tank? You may want to co sister a Kamoer FX-STP since it is designed for continuous running. If your tank is smaller then you can get away with a smaller dosing pump

Either should work. I have my stirrer connected to a dos… but any peristaltic pump would work. Hope much do you plan to dose a day and how often

Tank is 150 gallon. About 140 gallon actual water volume. Not sure as to how much yet. Still need to figure out daily evaporation rate and measure my daily alk consumption. I was lucky enough to pick up the stirrer for $50 on offer up so figured it was a no brainier to go this route.

DO YOU USE A PAR METER WHEN PLACING NEW CORAL IN YOUR TANK?

  • Yes! I think it's important for the longterm health/growth of my coral.
