I am getting ready to add a Red and Green War Coral and a Blastomussa to our existing acan and hammer coral. Cal is 440,dKH is 9. Should I dose something like Red Sea Foundation ABC3? Thanks in advance Dan

Looks good to me.

Keep an eye on your parameters. No need to dose yet but as you start to notice more Calcium and alkalinity being depleted faster than you can keep up with water changes then it’s time to dose

Thank you very much

Of course. If feasible I’d recommend the Hanna checkers when you get to that point. Takes the guessing out of the equation and Alk swings will take out coral if too dramatic

Great again thanks

You don’t have to. My 45 gal tank consists primarily of lps and I dose 4ml daily of each (ca and alk) to keep constant level.

Could ask what brand you use ?
Thanks Dan

I originally thought I would need to dose a lot so I bought the powders instead of the already mixed alk/ca. I was trying to be economical. But I guess with 4ml of each daily. It doesn’t save much.

I use dr foster and smith foster alk and calcium powders. As for the doser, jaebo doser does the job for my needs.

Appreciate the response. I was looking at the jaebo doser as well.
