I wanted to give another shout out to Dr. Reef. I've ordered a few times but this was a bit of a leap of faith for me money-wise with a new tank. I ordered a yellow tang (captive bred), a foxface, a hippo tang (captive bred) and a court jester goby (captive bred). along with a few types of snails. The process was great and the fish showed up healthy and happy. They're starting to venture out more each day and eating well. The yellow tang was larger than I expected and welcome. QT isn't something I'm interested in doing myself and I think they provide a great service for a reasonable price. Anywho, another great experience. Highly recommended.

Happy Reefing!

Yup, my experience is the same. Had a tailspot blenny and firefish arrive two weeks ago. They are doing great. I have a skunk clown on order now too. Highly recommend.

Always a good experience. The ONLY issue I seem to ever have is inverts. I have tried a few cleaner shrimp now and they never have come in looking good and have died in a day or two. But dozens upon dozens of fish and only one or two issues.

I also have a very positive opinion of Dr. Reef's livestock and how he handles his business after several orders.
3 of my 5 current fish are from Dr. Reef's and doing great.

He can't control how long UPS drives around in the heat (locally) but has taken responsibility and issued credit for the couple of times I had some DOA inverts.

I definitely plan to continue to order from Dr. Reef's if/when I buy additional livestock that I don't plan to QT myself.

I've only spotted one empty shell from the snails and I consider that normal. There's usually a few snail deaths when I have them shipped in. I'll be ordering some cleaning shrimp from him down the line. We'll see how that goes.

Dr. Reef is all I will use now for fish. I prefer getting my fish from him vs my LFS.

I've ordered both QT'd and un-QT'd fish from Dr. Reef and they've all been great.

now that I do my own QT, I just get conditioned fish from him and haven't had any issues with them either.

the last 2 fish I got from him were just conditioned (un-QT'd), but came in looking super healthy. super happy with them. I received them on 7/3, let them settle into their new tank for a few days to get them eating and then started QT (copper power) on 7/8. Also gave them 3 rounds of Prazi treatments. I just started removing copper from the QT system yesterday (8/13), so approx 36 days in copper. no issues at all, they were both model patients. Soon to be released back in to gen pop.

I will not use anybody else for fish going forward.

All my fish have come QT from Dr Reef. Of the thirteen fish I have ordered I've had one DOA and one die within 24 hours. Both replaced on my next order without any issue. I did have two Banggais die due to a virus a month after getting them but that isn't something Dr Reef can control. I will continue to use him for all my fish.

Always had great success with Dr. Reef

I have one experience so far ordered 4 fish a conch and a cleaner shrimp. Courtjester goby didnt pass inspection so didnt ship with order. Leopard wrasse was doa, water smelled bad so it happened early in transit. I know these don’t ship well. Pair of royal grammas have done great and are growing fast. Shrimp and conch doing great as well. Was reimbursed for next order on two fish.

Its the nature of ordering online. But having a fish die on the way and not having one ship when you pay $20 dollars in insurance, $50 dollars in shipping, $10 box fee, and at least double the price per fish compared to good stores is a little hard to swallow imo.

I’m going to order again because i have close to $250 in credit, but everything will have to go perfect for there to be a third order.

It doesn’t make since to pay $80 dollars on top of fish cost to only get half the fish you order.

Edit: Dr. Reef didn’t do anything wrong. If a fish doesn’t look how they want and they don’t send it i understand. Just doing a cost benefit analysis based on one order.
