It’s a valid point, and I trusted the Orphek email I got from customer support that 3 were enough, but now that I got a par meter, I agree I need a lil more light, mostly because my lights are 18” off the edge of the tank. So I am putting a light canopy together now so I can add new lights.

There has been water in the tank for a month now, the MRC roller mat is keeping water super clear I am happy with it. I have had a few “prototype” issues with it, but MRC has been great to work with.

By the way I am loving the Gem tang! I added all my tang gang at the same time once the tank was cycled. 3 purple (rumor has it they maybe banned soon too) the last Hawaiian Yellow tang my LFS was able to get, 3 powder blue tangs, I wanted an Achilles but prices sky rocketed to quickly for me to justify putting one in after my 3 powder blue tangs.

Today I took on my light canopy. I ordered a frame from framing tech. It was super easy to put together and will be ordering from them again. I inserted pvc into the fram for the living room side. (The side I won’t access it from) and ordered some Blum hardware to hold the panels up for when I am working in the tank. So far tang gang is good and keeping algae under control!

Yes I got two new A500x’s in there I love how they go with the Orpheks, although I just heard there will be a new version of the orpheks, I am not sure I want to reinstall lights, lol I think I am good with this combo

I ordered some of my first sps from @ReefBum and I am happy to report they are doing well and came in pest free. Walt Disney shown 20m after glueing!

I need a some corals that will withstand high flow, like right out of my closed loops? Any suggestions? Low light and high light suggestions please. I placed a monti undatta, but it didn’t like the flow.
