Just notifying you all of Warranty issues du to drawn out postage time of items bought online. Be aware that some companies date the 12 month warranty from date of purchase and you have not a leg to stand on if it takes say a month and a half for them to post to you. In my case i ordered an Ice cap battery backup that had to be ordered in as Surprise surprise there was no stock in Western Australia.
In my case it didn't arrive and had to be re-ordered. Thats it! You have automatically reduced your warranty down to 8 and half months from 12 due to the suppliers care free attitude to posting in a timely manner.
I purchased the ice cap battery back up that failed somewhere within the first 11 month of use, due to a faulty charger leaving just enough power to activate my Maxspect controller screen but not enough to run the Gyers.
Warranty was denied as according to the supplier Aquariums Australia, i was one and a half months out of date. Who then referred me to CoralVu in the US who acknowledged the issue but would need to check the back up in person. They added there would be a technician Fee of $35 and postal cost of $85 adding this to the original sale price of $319.
