Dropping dkh

I have a new aquarium, which has been set up about two months. I got an APEX Fusion to watch my parameters. I am on Wellwater, I use instant ocean, new salt water test 9.0 DKH. However, my tank continuously drops and DHK and I cannot get it to stop dropping. I’m going through salt like crazy with the water change every couple days. Any recommendations which might help me problem? below are the readings on my apex and my graph of my DKH. Thanks!

Do you have any corals or corraline algae to use it up? If not it’s not a concern honestly. Wouldn’t bother with water changes either till you got corals or a high fish load.

If maintaining alkalinity is important then it’s time to start dosing alkalinity. You can do it either using a complete product like all for reef or the individual components using kalwasser or other means.

Thanks no corals or or coralline algae yet. I’ve introduced 10 fish. Trying to learn how to keep this stable even with no corals. So that I’m ready for corals when the time comes.

I guess I’m try to figure out if this drop is normal or if it’s something in my well water. Thoughts?

A drop of 2 dKH seems normal to me in 2 months.there are several ways alk drops that do not relate to corals.

Water changes are a very expensive way to boost alk.
7 dKH is perfectly fine. If it drops more, just add some baking soda.
