the entire tank is getting a bar built on the outside of it and then it’s getting finished at the top and bottom
i don’t think so, he’s always been super chunky, the outside of the tank has been going crazy with renovations, like a bars getting built on the outside of it and cupboards built on the bottom and top, so that’s a lot of stress, he is breathing really fast thoughWas the bloating directly related to the lethargy, or was it present beforehand?

there’s no new additions but the lights have been goofy the last 2 days as the builders are building around the tank, like for eg they’re off when they’re supposed to be on
While this can freak out a given fish, may or may not be the issue. Ive seen these fish who do not miss a meal get this plump but try not to feed it 24 hours and see if bloating subsides.
I've read that an antibiotic such as kanaplex could be helpful. I've also had brine shrimp or daphnia recommended for fluid retention. I'm not sure how effective those are though.
Yeah that sucks, lots of people are suggesting feeding him peas would that hurt anything or should I give it a try, I know that wouldn’t help with organ failure but say the chances it isn’t organ failure maybe it could help fix his problem
The “feed them peas” is poor advice. It stems from a treatment designed for a specific issue with fancy goldfish. Somebody read that and began telling people to feed peas to their marine fish … it won’t hurt, but it won’t help.
I also know this is just a shot in the dark but is there a possibility it’s unreleased eggs? the abdomen is very symmetrical and big, the only thing is is the eyes are protrude..
This was my first fish ever and my absolute favourite he/she surpasses every other fish i’ve ever had and I just am so so sad about this, in hindsight i’m thinking it’s something with its organs though, due to fast breathing and the eyes.. anyways ill stop bothering you thanks so much for taking time to educate me.
