Here is a JF Flame that was given to me by a local reefer. He was having issues with it. Said it had the bright yellow tips when he bought it, but slowly declined. I’m happy with how’s its doing!

Looking really good. Once that maroon color base is down, the tips will start to show.

Yeah, I bought my own recently and plan to return his once it’s recovered. His other SPS are doing well so hopefully round 2 will work better for him!

I actually tested my water this morning ;Woot
First time since the cycle. Using API since I didn’t dig out my Hanna checkers. I’ll check against the numbers this afternoon and test again.

API

NO3 - 0 (likely above)
PO4 - .25-.5
Ca - 500  (I’ll be interested in checking this against Hanna)
Alk - 9.5dkh

I didn’t test ph and I don’t have a way to test mg.

So far the only thing I’ve added to the tank is this (a couple small scoops in ATO) I’ve done 0 water changes since filling June 30.

I like it. Very creative. Looks like it should work well. I love those corals too.

Is that a candelabra? They have a nice deep purple. I have been wanting to get one of those and then an orange one as well.

I believe it is and it is a very deep purple.

I have never been able to get a picture that shows its real color.

Perhaps we can swap frags some day!

I have seen these (similar at-least) while spearfishing near the mouth of a pass (strong currents). Both deep purple, and banana yellow. The yellow ones were much more rare.

West Coast of Florida, between Siesta Key and Lido Key.

Definitely! Shipping shouldn’t be a killer since you’re not too far away. Or even meet up if we visit my wife’s sister in Brunswick, GA. We drive right by you.
