I’m afraid my Hippo’s HLLE might be worsening. He has had it since I acquired him. I’ve been using selcon on all frozen food, but not sure it’s helping. I just got a new type of algae that has double the crude protein and fat of what I was using. I’m going to see if that has any affect on it.
It could be the tank size as well, but it’s hard to say. He seems to swim freely and doesn’t show stress.
Probably 120-150lbs if I guessed. Most came with the tank and I added 40lbs of Caribsea liferock.I think I may have had a duncan eat a piece of algae before. Itll be alright IMO.
On another note. How many lbs of Live rock you think you have in there? Any marine pure or stuff like that?
I'm planning on buying marine pure spheres on black Friday for my 125g build. Heard good things
I think a lot of them do. They just seem more noticeable than they used to. Could be from his growth as well. You know, most of the Hippos I have seen have those holes around the nose. I always thought they just had them there???
Thanks! I think it’s My Miami or Mr Miami something, I can’t remember exactly.Nice! Not to shabby on the photo skills!
What is the name of the chalice?

Interesting... never seen that before. So of course on the last day home, I find what looks to be some sort of sea spider. I should have taken a picture in the tank before I pulled it but I didn’t want to lose it.
Thin legs unlike a zoa spider, crawled off a monti I was moving from a plug to the scape.
These are the best pictures I could get. It had a very distinct walk with segmented legs.
