Good God, someone get this guy a bigger tank!!!!!

Are those Purple Stylophora a fast grower for you?
I know! I keep telling myself to quit buying coral and maybe I can save for one. Thankfully now I don't have space, maybe I can make it happen ;Hilarious

They grow decent. I bet they would take off really quick if I started dosing or doing more water changes. I'm scared to change anything though...because if it ain't broke, don't fix it. o_O Right?

I hear ya! Hard to resist tweaking. The LPS look fantastic so I would stick to what you're doing. :)
Thanks! I am planning on getting an SCA 150 as my upgrade. Hopefully purchasing the tank and stand in March. I'll probably atleast get a doser for it.

Wow that canopy looks great! Did you reinforce the vanity at all or leave it as it was?

Thanks all...
It already has 2 pieces along the back tying the 2 side panels together (top & bottom)...pretty sturdy the way it is...
Dsnakes, glad I found someone using Orbits for Nuvo 20...also happy to see your corals are doing so good...
Hope by supplementing the 4 ATI T5's with the LED's I will get the best of both worlds...
I have installed an exhaust fan to come on/off in junction with the T5's...

My first crash! Not what I wanted to come home from work to... My 5 year old wanted to be like me and work on the tank... wife downstairs doing laundry. Took forever to get an answer from him on what he did to cause it. Used my turkey baster and completely blew through sandbed unleashing 10 months of unstirred nutrients. This all happened within 3 hours. Lots of new salt water mixing now. Some are goners but going to save what I can...

I dont think a skimmer would foam that bad just from a “storm” in the tank. Are you positive he didn’t pour something else in there?
The foam looks extra frothy if that’s even a word.

Nothing to pour in, and just the wet turkey baster. Sand everywhere and corals knocked off from the baster moving around. I just assumed the foam from skimmer going crazy from all the nutrients. IM ghost skimmer if that helps.

I was wondering same thing. Sorry for this unfortunate event but prayers and fingers crossed for a bounce back. Several water changes is what you are planning I'm assuming? Maybe testing parameter after water changes might help gauge the damage
