Soooooo.

I was mixing my water for my AWC for the next two weeks. Just when I was finishing my process, my test result showed my magnesium was slightly lower than my DT. I always bring my values up to DT. At that time I was distracted by a phonecall and instead of entering 44 gallons in the BRS calculator I entered 260 gallons (DT). I remember seeing 1,500ml and thinking that’s a lot to bring it up 50 points but the call distracted me. Then dumb me, I go and dump 1,500ml of magnesium.

Ugh…..afraid to ask, should I dump this saltwater? Half of it? I have no idea how high this magnesium but it must be super high. I needed to dose something like 148ml.

Can you measure the value in your make up water? If it’s spread out over 2 weeks I can’t imagine 1.5 liters of mag is going to wreak havoc. I find that it takes a lot of mag to raise the values significantly. One gallon might raise my mag 100 ppm in 420 gallons of water.

I measured and is not too bad at around 1800, lol. I will start adding it to the DT and keep a close eye on the magnesium levels. I thought it was going to be like 3,000.
