Duncan coral lost its head

Didnt know what section to post this sorry


So I've had this duncan coral for about 4 months, I moved it recently and now one of the heads is hanging on by a thread. I'm assuming too much flow caused this to occur. What should I do... remove and trash it or will it grow even though its not connected to the stalk
