Duncan mad

Any thoughts on whether this Duncan is dying or just aggravated. It used to puff up the size of half dollar but the last month or so it’s slowly slowly shrunk to this. I did an iodine dip about a week ago and it didn’t do anything.

Thank you. My parameters all seem good. Nitrates about 15. Phos a little high at about .15-.2 and night no more than 100. When it was puffiest it was prob in like 60 par….but I’ve been ramping it up slowly for like 2 months

I dont know about par's, but 60 par seems pretty low to me. Mine is half way up my rocks under 150w MH light. Even googling "what par for duncan coral" shows 120+ par. it might be starving for light

Par now is sitting at about 100.

Phosphate is high
What test kits are you using for other readings?

I use salifert for calcium mag ph and phos. Hanna for alk and Red Sea for nitrate

Thank you for this thread. I have been following along because my duncan is also mad. Checked calcium and alkalinity. Alkalinity was the whole way up to 14.5! So I will stop boosting it for 2 or 3 weeks. Again I think this thread saved it!
