So I just brought home a single head Duncan a couple days ago and he hasn't come out of its cylinder body since then. Do they take awhile to rebloom or what?

My son's Duncan has been growing new heads, but won't extend no matter what! In my tank, the exact opposite.

you must feed reed roids then. I started feeding reef roids 2 times a week about a month ago and already have 3 new heads! It's like magic.

Actually no. My son has the same nitrates as mine. Reef roids jacked his nitrates up.

makes sense, I had to dial back my reef roids, I was doing 3 tsp for 300 gallons and I had the same problem so I dialed it down to 2 tsp and change my socks the next morning. It works too good IMO to stop using it!!

Never had a issue with Duncan. Its upset.
Can be acclimation method, introducing under bright lights and they don't like bright white, high nitrite, salinity too low and placement in water flow.

Place mid tank
Salinity: 1.025-1.026 at 78 deg
Moderate water flow.
Feed 2X week with pumps off
Add aminos and potassium to tank occasionally
Whites at 20-25% and blues at 75%.

SEE HOW THEY LOOK IN 24-48 HOURS !!

No way you're target feeding with 1/2 tsp. if so that's like 95% water and 5% RR

My duncans which ive had for over a year are schizo, started with one head, opened up for awhile, closed for awhile, opened up again and got 2 new heads, then closed again, opened again and now they are in a partially opened mode for the last few weeks......
