Duncan question.

I like to feed my Duncan various things from Mysis, brine, raw shrimp and today krill. It’s finally sprouting 3 new heads two of which you can see in the picture. But shortly after I fed him the krill, his base just started expanding and completely covering the drag plug and now attaching to the rock.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before? Normal?
