I have a Duncan frag that I bought from my LFS about a week ago. Since putting it in my tank I've noticed that it's frequently partially retracted, and I never see it as extended as most pictures of Duncans that I see here. It's currently in a lower-flow location in the tank and I'm wondering if it might do better in higher flow?

Other variable here is that I upgraded my lighting a couple days ago, and so it's very possible that it's reacting to the increased intensity. New lights are dialed down quite a bit for now, but it's still more light than I had previously.

Mine is at the bottom, but getting decent flow. Seems to like it since there are 3 quarter size heads now popping from its side. I have a Reefer 250 and running two MP40s at apprx 35-40%. Two AI Hydras. I feed it reefroids a few times a week. It also catches other food itself. I would dial up the flow and see what happens.

I have a Duncan aswell.. and is doing very well mid of tank, with med to high flow. I also changed my lights just recently and noticed she is doing better. It took a few days before she settled in nicely.
