Duncans

I have three sets of Duncan's, bought from different sources at different times and placed in differnt (like) areas of the tank.Everything in my tank is doing great, growing, multiplying, and happy. The Duncan's were as well. In a 2 day period; all 3 closed up and have stayed closed for better than a month. What is going on with them that isnt affecting anything else, any insight would be appreciated.
Perameters are as follows

Magnesium. 1360
Phos. .42
Salinity 1.026
Nitrate 5.0
Nitrite 0
Phosphate 7.8
Ammo. 0

Nothing else has changed or been added for a month prior to the issue.

Your phosphates are .42 and they should be 0.05 to around 0.10

Are you sure those are Duncan’s? They remind me of trumpet corals. Also, phosphates are in an ok range. I would reduce them to about .25

Im thinking the same thing, looks lime candy cane to me. Maybe pictures in white light will help.

Yes ,Duncan's. I have had them and fully open for many months before closing up all of the sudden.

Same thing is happening with my 2 Duncans. Had them for months, growing, they would eat like pigs, looking really nice and the one day they closed then then have never opened fully. I transferred one to another Tank and no improvement and one has lost 1/2 it's heads. Check for tissue recession around the base as I noticed that on mine. I think Randy mentioned Tin Levels can cause problems. I can keep the challenging fish but keeping Corals has been elusive.

Be careful about assuming it Is the phosphates. My phosphates run 0.4-0.5 always and everything including softies, LPs, sps, and anemones are doing great for almost a year. They are likely going to be fine if they are stable.
