How is it doing now? I plan to add some sort of Dwarf Angelfish to my 29 gallon.
I had a flameback in a 29 a few years back, I would recommend only a flameback or cherub in a tank that size. My 29 felt a bit cramped for a juvenile flameback, so I couldn't imagine something larger like a coral beauty.

The thing is that I have two hammers and a torch coral (both LPS) do you think they would nip at them?

I kept that same flameback with a variety of LPS for 2 years (Including torches and hammers) and it only touched acans. I haven't heard many stories of dwarf angels nipping at euphyllia.

I kept a cherub angel in a 30g (36” 12x16) for over 7 years. It always seemed happy weaving in and out of the rocks. The only other fish in the tank for that time were a single ocellaris clown and a flame hawk. It wa the right bioload for a low maintenance tank and everyone got along well.
Corals were just frogspawn, leathers, mushrooms and I think candy cane.

I had a close relative (the white spot Toby) in a 32 g biocube when I was in high school. Very fun fish, I would choose that or the angel, though.
