A month ago I bought a used 2016 wireless Apex w/ EB832 from a member here and finally got around to setting it up this morning. Initial setup went fine, connected to WiFi and fusion, no problem. Started plugging things into the EB832 but nothing operates. The little outlet status LEDs do not light either. I tried the reset button on the back and also updated the firmware for the EB832 to no avail. I did notice that during the firmware update the outlets did go on for about 10 seconds and then turned back off. I’m at a loss and don’t know where to turn so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This might be a dumb question, but have you tried manually moving the output slider from OFF or AUTO to ON? Have you looked at the programming on each EB832 output to see how they're currently configured?

I did try to use the sliders in the app but they’re grayed out and don’t allow me to move them. Because I’m so new to the Apex and still don’t know the ins and outs of the app and especially the programming language I can be missing something.

Thanks for replying.

At the top of your ap is a box w/an arrow. Tap that an the gray areas clear then you can access sliders.

you have to slide to the left first, then you will have access to the buttons. If you're using the app on your phone, on the top right hand corner of the app next to the question mark button there's a left arrow button, click on that and you should also have access to all your on/off buttons.

Not sure if this helps but here’s a pic of the EB832 setup in the app. Notice how all 8 outlets are red.

Tap the icon (top left) to bring you back to home page of app. Then on home page look for box w/arrow pointing left, then tap that. (on upper right)

Hersheyb,

Thank you! That did it. Now I just need to learn how to program the dang thing and also what hardware (non Apex certified) I can control with it.

Thank you again.

You will need to slide the clear bar of each output to the left then you can change from Auto to ON. More than likely they are set to Auto and programming has them off.

Thank you all for the quick responses. Hersheyb hit it right on the head. I’ll be back with way too many questions and I’m sure you’ll tire of them soon!

the apex controller is as easy as it gets, tons of info online. I'm pretty sure BRS has a few videos on setting up the apex. You'll get the hang of it pretty quick, good luck!

Thanks hersheyb,

I’ve watched a few videos including the Neptune ones but they just showed how to do the initial connection out of the box, therefore no problems. I need to find the videos for problems.!
