I just thought that it interesting that with the economy tanking more and more daily, McDonalds has decided to raise prices on their food items. I have to have my sweet tea to make it through the day, so if the cafeteria at work is not open, I grab a tea and Egg McMuffin meal. It used to cost $3.54. Now it costs $4.35... That's a pretty steep increase (~22% increase). I'll not be frequenting Mickey D's anywhere near as often because of this. I just found it very interesting that fat food is going up, but cars and other large ticket items are dropping back. I guess it describes a condition of our culture, though (not a good condition, mind you).

yeah i agree it seems like all of the fast food places are getting more expensive. i got a meal at wendys yesterday for lunch and it was $6+ and i thought wow, seems like theyve really gone up....

Can we assume otherwise? When the fed prints bills with such generosity of course the value of the dollar is going to drop.

All the while, we're busy selling our gold to flood the market as to achieve what seems like a stable dollar. Its only going to get worse...

At Kroger a 9.5 oz. bag of Dove Chocolates used to cost $3.29 a year ago. It costs $4.49 now. Hershey's Kisses from now on!

I noticed that too! McD's took the double cheeseburger off the dollar menu, and replaced it with the "McDouble" the difference? 1 piece of cheese on the McDouble, and 2 on the Double cheeseburger.

So that's what the McDouble is! I saw it on the menu the other day and I had no idea what it was.

Yeah I usually stop at the local Mc D's on the way to work for a unsweet tea. It is now 1.19 here. Up 20 cents.

I hear you 100%

It's called inflation. It's what happens when the corrupt government runs the country into the ground and then prints up trillions in bogus cash to try and cover it. All it does is make the money worth less.

Speaking of worthless money and trillions of dollars, I found this site pretty interesting:

And now, the worlds largest banknote (compared to our inflation, we just have a bloating issue!):
