Ecotech Battery Backup Questions

I have 2 MP10’s on a 45 Gallon Cube with a Ecotech battery backup.
our power is going out in two weeks for a scheduled outage for four hours.

I tested the backup and it works. My MP10’s sit opposite each on the side
walls and about 6 and 8 inches from the top of the water.
when I tested them they did not seem to have much flow at all.
probably 20%, there was no water movement on top of the water.
so I’m presuming no gas exchange

am I looking or thinking things wrong here or is it enough
can I power them up any

They are designed that way. No way to boost output under battery backup power with the EM battery backup. For increased gas exchange during the outage, move them closer to or at the surface or buy a UPS to run at higher power.

did you use it and did you find you had enough flow where you had your pumps

UPS run flat in a VERY short space of time running pumps, because they convert DC > AC > DC.
EcoTech battery backup is DC > DC and run's for an incredible amount of time.

I tested this myself and got about 2 hours out of a reasonable sized UPS, but got nearly 2 days out of EcoTech battery backup.

Yes, put them closer to the surface for better gas exchange.
