Eel Tank Security

Can any of yall Eel keepers recommend a good cover/lid for a Waterbox Marine x 60.2 tank? I am interested in getting a Snowflake Eel. I am in the research phase of the this tank build. I really want an Eel but have never had one. I do not want to find a eel walking around the house since I have a young child let alone loosing the eel. This tank will be a reef tank primarily.

Any other tips and tricks for eels is very appreciated. I am doing a lot of research but I really lack the hands on with them.

That’s too small for a snowflake. They can get to 2.5’ long and grow very fast.

Thanks for the info, so the only other eels I think I could do are the garden and dwarf morey?

The GDE is no longer available as it is endemic to Hawaii. Garden eels are very difficult but doable if you take the time they need. An engineer goby would work and have a lot of personality.
