Hi all,
So I currently have an empty 40 gallon breeder and REALLY want to do a predator tank. I know I'm limited in space so I'd do 3-4 fish max. I'm planning on having two oversized hob filters and an aquamax hob protein skimmer.

I need help with stocking. I really love the Marine betta, snowflake eel is a must, dwarf lion, and harlequin bass.

I dont think i can do all 4. DO yall think i can do lion, betta, and eel?
I dont want to do betta eel and bass cause then it would be a black and white tank, I want some color.

Also if you guys have any other suggestions or other stocking input that would be very helpful.

Thank you

40 gallon is too small for any of those fish let alone multiple. If you wanted those fish (depending on the kind of lion) you are probably looking at a minimum 80 gallon or so. None of those fish should be cramped into a 40 gallon especially an eel, lion, and betta.
