I just got a round ray that needed better home conditions currently in a 200ish gallon tank she’s pretty small for now so will try to get a bigger home very shortly anyway the problem is since adding her my snowflake eel will not eat he is too stressed and scared. Also cuz when I try to put the krill near his caves the stingray comes smashing the sand around to get it and even now trying when she is asleep he is too stressed to eat. I tried garlic on it as well to no avail. Left peices underneath him and he is just laying in them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It’s the 3rd day with no eating so if he doesn’t eat soon I think I should take all the rocks out to get him out

I wouldnt go after him, that would stress him more. Ive had eels go on a few weeks hunger strikes. If he isnt loosing a ton of weight just keep trying to feed him. Maybe feed the ray on the other side of the tank and while shes eating try to feed him?

Okay I’ll try to be super fast about feeding them on seperate sides. Only issue is the ray slurps them down so fast and the eel takes forever to size up the meal. Also the eel is a smaller eel maybe a little bit bigger then a foot and 3/4th of an inch in thickness so didn’t know if he would hold out that long. But if that happens sometimes then that helps with my stress thank you for your our response!

Yeah I have a snowflake, zebra, jeweled and a white eye moray eel. My snowflake went on a hunger strike for about 2 weeks, my zebra for a month when I had to move them and re start my tank. Both were fine. Mines close to fully grown but shes not super thick either, just the kind of eel.

No problem! And yeah they are. My zebra too but shes a lot bigger so she cant always go where those three do. I would just give your snowflake a little time to adjust. Might not be a bad idea to see if you can observe them when the lights go out to see if your sting ray is going after him and bullying him
