I’ve reviewed and searched for an answer but haven’t successfully located what I’m looking for.
I purchased a number of frags and a cabbage rock from my local shop. I noticed, what I thought, was bubble algae on a frag, but when I went to manually remove it, I found the spheres to be very firm.
I noticed additional clumps on the rock. Any idea what these are? Again, they’re not soft and my CuC haven’t touched them either.

Possibly vermitid and bubble algae by the looks. Bubble algae is pretty firm.

I’d never seen bubble myself but it’s definitely what it is. When I saw it the other day I tried to tweezer one off and it got away. That will come back to haunt me I’m sure.
I’ve just pulled the frag and rock out of the tank and manually cleaned what my eyes could see. I’ll stay observant the next month just to stay on top of it to weed it out. I’m peeved I lost that one bubble!!
