While cleaning my powerhead I noticed the cord that stays in water is looking worn out. It is about 3 years old. What is average lifespan of these wires that stay in water?

Does it feel like the insulation on the wire is crusty and falling off? If so, I wouldn’t use it.

It not that bad. I will use it one more time and then replace.
