Ok, I search, read, watched the videos, I can't get email notifications to work.
I'm on a mac, use apple email (@me.com) so I don't know if that's the issue.
Settings I used:
Mail Server: smtp.mail.me.com
Port: 587
My name: Main Tank
My email: [email protected]
Username: [email protected]
Password: Xxxxxxxxxxx

Those of you on a Mac and using and Apple email address, does this look correct? Is it working for you?

Also either using the app or myGHL, I can go into email notifications, but then it will lock up and I have to disconnect
to go back in.
GCC on my laptop seems to work fine.

So, I was able to get this working, but I had to use my work email credentials. I still want to figure this out to use my Apple ones.
I seem to recall having to go into my Gmail settings and convince Google that GHL was a safe app/device. There may be some similar step with Apple?

does it give an error?
I know you have to create an app specific password.
I got this to work (not on GHL, but another product) I can see if I can get some setup screenshots for you.

I'm assuming you found this page?

Yes, I did see that, and I did use the settings.
Problem is, when filling in the mail server field, since Apple has (4) xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx instead of (3) xxx.xxxx.xxx
which is typical, it won't allow me to enter the Apple mail server.

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server
  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, [email protected], not emilyparker)
  • Password: Use the app-specific password that you generated when you set up the incoming mail server.
