Mixed per instructions, the joints will crack. Looks like the cement is not adhering to the rock well. Tried the mix a little wetter, still not holding. Any suggestions?

Not sure. I used it and it worked well. My only idea is perhaps to use a little more than you think you'll need.

What's the surface like? is it solid or does it flake off just by touching it? I've personally had great success with e marco.

Perhaps some pictures of the project so that we can get a better idea with what's going on.

If that stuff doesn't work for you then use MasterEmaco N 426 (Formerly Thorite Rapid Vertical). This is the best rapid setting cement available and a fraction of the cost of that stuff you are using. You will have to go through a long cure process before you put this stuff in the tank though.
