I bought two emerald crabs to diversify my CUC and to help with some nuisance algae. Has anyone else had them disappear? I noticed one the second day, but after that I haven’t seen them.

Other stocking options in tank: bi-color blenny, lemon damsel and a pair of clown fish. Some other small blue leg crabs, assorted snails and a tiger conch.

Thanks!

Yes, crabs can hide very well, and many are most active at night. Try adding some food to the tank, they may come out for it. They also have to shed their exoskeleton periodically, and they will hide for a few days as their new shell hardens. Don't mistake a crab's shed for a dead crab 😜

Ive got a 20 gallon with 2 emeralds. You would think they would be easy to find in that little ol tank.

NOPE.

Exactly, I have to look for my Mr. Crabs by sitting still and waiting for him to move! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
