Why didn’t you add it?

Because he has coral and inverts in his dt.

If it were me, I’d still dip your coral in coral rx and place in a separate coral/invert qt (not your fish qt) while allowing the tank to go fallow.

I can only speak for myself though.

In the future I would quarantine ALL coral like this:

Step 1: Always remove coral from plug.
Step 2: Dip coral in coral rx for five minutes.
Step 3: Wash off coral.
Step 4: Give coral a 15 minute bayer insect bath.
Step 5: Place in coral/invert only qt tank and let sit for 76 days.

Step 6: Enjoy your new coral in dt.

Your tank needs to cycle this happened to me and with the ich in the tank now you need to go fish less for like 6 weeks I went 2 months with out fish so all the ich was gone.

2 months is not enough and all the ick may not be gone!
The ‘expert’s’ recommendation is at least 72 days (over 10 weeks)
