First post. Help me save him! He's been in copper power at 2.00 for two weeks and kanaplex for 10 days. 0 amonia, 0 nitrite, ph 7.9, 1.023. I did a 100% water change when I saw his condition worsening and he now has no medication. It seems to be just his skin. He behaves withdrawn and swims slightly odd sometimes. No other fish with him in qt. Any help would be a life saver! Thanks for reading!

These fish are prone to flukes and looks like the typical effect on them when flukes are present and treatable using PraziPro at 85% of recommended dosage with air stone added.
How is breathing. . . Normal or labored?
Apply dosage and allow to work for 8 days, do a water change and apply one more dosage application lasting 8 days

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I agree this is probably flukes, this species are very prone to them. However, copper power at 2 ppm is right at the low limit, so I can’t 100% rule out ich.

In any event, here is a post I made on treating flukes with praziquantel;

I've seen these white patch's, and it's usually caused by stress or a skin irritation. I would probably perform a FW Dip for some temporary relief. Emperors seem to tolerate them well. If you observed improvement, then you could probably say it's Flukes. You will still need to treat with Prazi after. If it is Flukes then it's best to remove most of the Copper before treatment begins. Jay would know approx. how low to get it.

Just recently Had an emperor with exact same condtion ( but even worst) + another angel with same patchy skin condition. Copper power for weeks at 2.30+ didnt do anything. Dose prazi in conjunction to Copper power (3 doses) and after a month, the patches were gone and the skin return to normal. It most likely was flukes on my end. None of my other 30+ fishes (even other angels) showed the same patchy skin. Good luck.

His size and pattern look like he is going thru the transformation. Are you sure he’s sick?

The three short horizontal lines ARE part of the color pattern transformation, but the small diffuse spots aren’t normal.
