Just out of curiosity, anyone with encrusters around their clam's shells? I think I might have some montis growing near/maybe on the base of the clam shell. I'll have to take a look this weekend. I'm wondering if they should be cut off with a scalpel or what the recommendation would be to keep the shell clean.

What type of clam?
Maxima clam won't allow the coral to encrust around the base.
I have to trim at the top though. It grows around the shell but I don't want the clam to be impeded.

Maxima. That's interesting! Thanks for the feedback. I'll get the flow off this weekend and get a better look from top down to see what the edges are looking like.
