I have this red sponge encrusting on my rock and seems to be competing with my corals for space. Any ideas if I should try to remove and if so how ?

I'd leave it. It doesn't look like one of the photosynthetic species and cryptic sponges are essential recyclers. It's likely encrusted on the underside of your setosa(?) but seeing the extent it has grown on the underside of the rock with only very minimal growth in the light tells me it's pretty much reached the brightest it can tolerate.

It’s wrapped around on top of the rock now. It’s under 400-500 par with no issues
