@IOAOI it arrived safe and appears unbroken! Very well packed. I'll bring it out of the box tomorrow hopefully.

Long day today so nothing happened... Played Pickleball with the guys this morning at 0 Dark thirty, got home and showered in time to walk out the door to go to the east side of town for the Parada Del Sol festival. Just got home and I'm wiped out! No setting up the 8 gallon or playing with the Hydros goodies tonight.

X4/XP8 combo is probably worth it if you have the money.

X4, X2, and XP8 would be the 3 I would want if I had to choose. X10 could easily replace the X4 but $$$.

Trying to figure out if the pH "spikes" in the sump are just heater kicking on and off interference? I assume so since the tank isn't seeing that?

I am fairly certain they're not correct judging from the steady rise and fall in the tank throughout the day but I'm really curious what's causing the spikes. It's almost everyday but only once a day. It doesn't coincide with any of the heater turn on and off, the pump runs constant, etc. Who knows.

The sump has the UV (currently off because I'm treating with Flux), a heater, and the return pump. The ATO runs several times daily as needed, the dosers dose into the overflow but they run 10-12 times daily...

Two air stones run all day, I'm considering running one all day and the second one when pH starts dropping to help offset CO2 increase during the day.

Except for pH rises during the day when CO2 is increasing so it's more likely coral respiration stopping at lights out?

It's not. I'm hoping it kicks the Ulva I've got growing but I also did a water change the other day when I dumped a pile of food so I may need to redose.

Question #1 (lol). Did you have any issues with your gantry screws on that Neo? Can't get mine to seat internally without increasing force to what feels like stripping-level.. All 4 stop at the same distance, just entering the inner threads..

Google results are mixed.. One returned the unit, one forced until it worked, another drilled out the inner threads..
