So I was in the tank fixing a couple of corals that the crabs and snails played kickball with last night and saw an Alveopora polyp floating around the tank. I was getting ready to rush out the door to get my daughter to school and myself to work (even though I'm supposed to be off...) but I took the time to catch it and added a small dab of glue to a frag plug and set it gently on top. It likely won't hold but it was worth a shot. I've had it work with mushrooms and Zoas before and the polyp looked like a release rather than a break so maybe...?

SHU should be here today.

Frag plug got knocked around by Starry and the polyp came off so it's floating around the tank looking for a new home.

My wife and I have been discussing replacing our pool filter. This really makes me want to replace it sooner rather than later.

This unit was replaced about 1.5 years ago. Cracked at the drain plug so I have to replace the whole unit

Just need to get this union to separate and then I can install the new filter. @tbrown the old one is repairable if you want a good deal on an 18 month old unit unit didn't crack just the drain plug and this union

I appreciate the offer.

Oh come on you don't want to experience the joy of flooding your backyard? I'm just glad it got caught relatively quickly. This summer has been killer on equipment. But it looks like we are falling under 100 next week finally

yeah; but it’s a dry heat…
Normally I'd say so is an oven. We've been over 100 since the middle of May. So I think technically that makes it a kiln at this point
