ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

Same thing. Just used my GC, but skipped the Hydros and just bulked up my RODI filters.
RODI is on the list as well for future purchases.

This is at LA? I don't see much hydros in stock anymore.
It's not. And when I asked, they made it seem like they have no intention on restocking anytime soon but who knows. I asked Saltwater Aquarium about an item and they said everything that's out of stock is on order but that manufacturers aren't giving any lead times and they're longer than normal lately so there's no estimate on arrival back in stock. Not sure if that's what LA meant or if they meant they're not ordering anything right now.

Ok, so I'm trying to plan this out. I'll have at least 2 $250 GCs to stores that sell Hydros, maybe 3.

I'm thinking:

WaveEngine LE and Gyre 2k combo from 1

Then an X2 Starter kit (X2, Temp, 4 outlet power strip), Micro Pump (ATO pump), DC Solenoid, and Command Bus Terminator from the second.

If all 3 are GCs, the third also sells Hydros so I may go with either a Minnow or a Jebao 4 head doser and another X2 controller (not pack).

Minnow would give me 2 controllable doser heads and 4 Sense, Jebao would give me 4 and the X2 would give me 2 additional Drive and 2 additional Sense. I like the idea of the Minnow because if I decided to do Hydros Alk testing down the road, those are on the Hydros vs switching back and forth between the Hydros and Jebao...

Decisions decisions.

Maven looks really great but it is out of my budget forever unless I can start selling some Strats.

Alkalinity is at 10.1 from 8.6 on Tuesday.

Dropped from 57 mL daily to 39 mL. I'll check again tomorrow or Sunday

Alk is at 10.3, still going up slightly. Removed another 6 mL daily. Once I get it holding steady I'll remove a few mL daily and bring it down to 8.6-9.0 and then bump it back up to the holding dose.

Thx for reminder!! To test that is!

I rarely test but I'm trying to get my doser dialed in so I'm testing a little more frequently now. For the time being.

They haven't had much for a while. Wouldn't be surprised if they're just clearing inventory.

The only benefit of the Minnow is if I want to Alkalinity test with the Hydros.
Depends on what you are dosing. Do you need 4 heads? If you need 3 heads, the jebao might make more sense. Two minnows would give you a lot of sense ports though..

Yeah. I'm looking at those Jellyfish tanks... My wife said no but...
