Well, I've got that Micro Ulva growing in my tank now. It's not really growing in the open, just around the frag plugs on the rock so it appears that the Foxface, Tang, and Starry are keeping it mowed down elsewhere which is good. The bad is that it's growing around my frags and encroaching on a couple of them.

I ordered some FluxRX but won't use it if it's staying controlled. I'm curious what snails would be most useful in controlling around the frags where the bigger fish ignore...

Research is needed.

I didn't add this. Not sure where it came from since I haven't added anything for several months. Same thing happened in the 125 - it just started growing. Kinda weird. It's not a bad thing actually, just an annoyance since it the tang and Foxface won't eat up against the base of the frags.

Finally! Now to test Alkalinity, Nitrates, and phosphates and again in 4 days for a daily average and start dosing Randy's 2 Part + Magnesium.

Guess I'll drop the Phosphate 1 ml daily and check in 4 days.

Nitrates are doing swell.

Different things. I use Hanna for Alk, Nitrates, and Phosphates. I use Salifert for calcium and magnesium.

pH I have a Milwaukee ph pen and I have a pH probe on my Hydros. Temperature I have a Hydros probe and an Inkbird.

Use with caution. I used it in my reefer 170 as an act of desperation. I know many people have success using it but when I did I ended up with a cyano outbreak and then I used chemi clean for that and it just went down hill from there.

Alright, reefing work in process. I'm getting ready to hook up the calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium to the doser. I'm thinking about putting the Ammonium Chloride with the Calcium Chloride and increasing the total dose by 5 mL daily.

Thanks! Yeah, I used it in my old 75 and in my 125 with no real ill effects to speak of but I really don't want to use it unless I have to. It'll be here today and it will sit on the shelf until I absolutely see no other solution.

Ok, doser is calibrated. I'm having second thoughts on mixing the Ammonium and Calcium because if I adjust one it will adjust both. Maybe I'll stick to manually dosing Ammonium for the time being. Eventually I'll be adding another 4 head doser and can consider it then.

Ok. I'm looking at 7 mL 8 times daily for alkalinity and calcium, and 1 mL 3 times daily for phosphates and 4 times daily for magnesium.

5 mL daily for Ammonium manually. Who knows, maybe when I have calcium and alkalinity dialed in I'll add the Ammonium Chloride and make it 9 mL 7 times daily for the two together...

Probably not, but we'll see.

Do you have thise smaller strawberry conches? For frags, I put them in the sand ved where my conch hangs and the frag is clean the next day. Just mow it down a but manually and the conch takes care of the rest.

I have a Strawberry and 2 Fighting Conches I believe but I haven't seen them in a bit. I can try though! Most of the stuff is up high in the tank where the conches definitely wouldn't go
