The bulk of that will be skimmed out of the water column before it can be utilized by the system. Another consideration would be any unused fertilizer left in the culture spiking your nutrients. Four ounces at 30ml per liquid ounce is roughly 120ml, and about a right-sized dose, IMO. I think that 8 - 16 oz. Is pretty high for your sized system. Just my 2 cents. Others with more experience may have different opinions.
Yeah, I only added about 2-4 oz. I'm not sure about it being skimmed out as I don't run a skimmer, but definitely it could be pulled out mechanically?

It would definitely not be skimmed out then. Hahahaha. You'll just get a thin biofilm on your glass from the excess. The biggest concern I would have aside from waste then would be the excess nutrients from the unused fertilizer.

Sounds good. I'll stick to 2-4 oz doses.
 
Tisbe have a few swimming and crawling on the jar that I can see. Still green tint to the water.
In my experience Tisbe are pretty hardy. A few years back when I had shoulder surgery and couldn’t do anything for quite a while my Tisbe culture sat unattended for months. The water was half evaporated and no green tint al all. To my surprise there were several still alive in there. Refreshed the water added phyto and it took off again.
 
HelloReef is up and running! Using the "Planted" Mobius setting for the light at 85%. Water is still slightly cloudy.

Lithium is 777 micrograms and should be 50-150????

Cobalt, copper, zinc, tin are slightly elevated and manganese is low. Manganese may be part of the issue with the LPS - I know Gonis like manganese at least.

Lithium at 777? Have you been storing your RC batteries in your tank?

I believe that Mn is quickly depleted which is probably why so many, including me, have problems with gonis. I've never supplemented Mn but I do make sure the trace elements I use have some in it.
 
So it looks like, keep running metals removal and run some GAC, plus run some phosguard or phosbond.

Phosphates are red (high), lithium is red (high), and SAC254 (dissolved organic carbon) is red (high). Everything else is green except the listed ones above (copper, tin, zinc, cobalt) are yellow high and manganese is yellow low.

Everything loves manganese. Especially my algae.
 
I found the most likely culprit of the lithium!

According to Randy et al Reef Crystals have a tendency to test high for Lithium (sounds like possibly in the alkalinity or calcium source used therein).

Also, the 770 is not a harmful level so it is not a worrisome issue.

However, that means that it is likely the SCA254 (DOC) level potentially causing the issues. Or else it is something entirely not on my ICP such as potential PAR levels.

Although I do need to raise my salinity some I suppose, so there is that.

Cuprisorb should take care of the metals (copper, cobalt, iron) but it also takes manganese out so I need to probably increase my trace element doses or just get a manganese supplement.

GAC installed.
 
They have been talking about this very expensive carbon on the RM fb page. Specifically re the SAC rates. Going to find the info and tag you on the fb.
