Sorry bout that . Did you take a wooden stick and check the place where he normally goes .
He's a vagabond. Sleeps where he wants. New bench every night.

My Leopard and my leucoxanthus always choose the same spot. The melanurus goes from spot to spot, corner to front to side to back to middle.

Yep. Checked the floor, the overflow, the sump. He could show up eventually but I'm not holding out hope. He had a good, long life. If he's gone I'm sad but but happy he was so long lived.

70 with a 24 gallon sump.
Yeah , your the same as me but with a 15 gallon sump . I just thought with a smaller tank you would know if something died . That’s tough . Sorry

I've got a very efficient CUC. If he's under the sand, I assume the Nassarius and Sand Sifter would make short work of him. When my Powder Brown died, he was a skeleton in the morning.

Yes I agree , I’ve had a yellow “I won’t say what kind it was because you know what it is “ fish that passed under the sand and I couldn’t tell . Mine when into a mp 40 blades then took a dive and I was wondering if he would have been fine . He never came back and it didn’t look like he was hurt that bad but about a month later I bought another one . But no I didn’t notice anything to the effect that he was gone in the 70 gallon . Sometime if a crab dies you notice it . Probably because it’s under sand .

Hi there, we actually offer an official adapter that allows the N-Clear M to work with rectangle filter sock sumps like the Eshopps Mariner series. If you’d rather not DIY, you’re welcome to try our adapter. That said, DIY can definitely be a lot of fun as well if you’re comfortable with 3D printing!

I'm fine either way. I knew you had adapters for the 4.5" socks so I was going to design an adapter for the 7". If it worked for me I was going to send it over to you guys to modify to your liking.

Speaking of, I'm working on a hanger for my Maxspect and IceCap gyres - tryna get magnets outta the tank after that last bout with GHA. That brought back memories of the 65 tank crash.

This is for the Maxspect. The bracket is almost good to go and then I'll figure out the hanger attachment.

After this is done I decide wether to replace the IceCap Jump 2K with the second XF330 or design another hanger for the IceCap since they are slightly different.

Long story short: I had a magnetic glass scraper, magnet eventually became exposed to water and rusted, rust released iron and other stuff into the water, iron caused excessive GHA growth, GHA (and Monti Eating Nudibranches) caused nearly all of my corals in the tank to suffer - I lost almost every coral in that tank - rhodactis mushrooms, Gonis, alveoporas, across, and LOTS of Montis. 2 Candy Cane colonies, several Mixromussa, and a bit nch of favias.

Do you remember what brand it was Or do you think replacing them every so often . The people with the frags racks glued to magnets , should they be worried ?
