m100 wishing i went 130. If you have any questions about the tank let me know.

The stand is pretty easy to put together and each piece is very heavy indicating that it is strong plywood with a nice coating of paint. My plan is to keep this tank for 3 years and go up to 130 or 180. The only other brand i’ll consider is glasscages and Innovative marine.

I haven't been home since 8am yesterday. I need to clean the glass tomorrow and then I'll try to get a new picture!

beautiful- my dream tank.
Can i ask what hat it costs you in upkeep per month? Water change and maintenance time?
I want one but if i go through 5g of salt a month, 1600g of afr per month, and over 3 hours of maintenance per week, it wouldn’t be worth it for me. I’d also consider an auto water change using my neptune.

So, I've had a bit of a set back with my M180. On Feb 27, me and three of my friends went to move the tank onto the stand. We got it rolled up to the front door and there are two steps to get into my house. I ordered two sets (4 total) of glass suction cup handles from amazon, which were advertised to hold 960lbs. Should have been plenty to hold the 4-450lb tank. Well, we went to lift the tank to get it inside the house, went up one of the steps and one of the handles failed, resulting in the tank being dropped onto my concrete entryway. Tank is destroyed :( The next day I emailed Eshopps explaining what happened. Obviously I couldn't get it replaced under warranty but Scott emailed me back and really came through with a price for a replacement. So the replacement M180 should be here this Wednesday!

I have to say, customer service from Eshopps has been amazing! It sucks to pay for something twice but Scott/Eshopps made it not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have a property damage claim open with Amazon, I am hoping I will recoup some of the cost.

Yeah, it was an expensive lesson. I wanted to hire a moving company to come and do it, but my buddies had full confidence we could do it. Honestly we are all pretty strong guys and picked it up no problem, just having a handle fail, there is no recovering from that, even with the other hand under the tank, which we had.

Lets just say, this next go around is going to be a lot different!

Oh man! Sorry to hear that... It took 4 of us to lift and move my 130 into position. But I was thinking the same thing; what if one of the suction cups failed

Unfortunately I can say I've been there, felt that:

There are two small clowns and a dozen frags in there now. Had a falling out with my LFS so it set me back a month on getting fish. I’m expecting my first shipment from Dr Reef next week and then another two weeks later.

I haven’t added it up. I do a 20 gallon water change every week. I’ve been running IO salt while getting going. A bucket is lasting two months in my 50 gallon salt mixing tank. Switching to Nyos salt next water change. So cost is going up a little. I’m dosing 30ml of AFR everyday day too.

Almost there with my M180… just need to rearrange my aquascape and hang my lights.
And buy some fish, of course!
That’s TBS baserock in the sump. Tons of tiny critters. I have since added a ‘fuge light to keep any photosynthetics on the rock alive. Scared to put it in the display until I know what I’m dealing with.
