As title states. I saw another smaller differ Zoa colony slowly dislodging and wilting, thought it was my large bristle star that sticks its arm out in that area irritating them. Now in the last few days my Rasta Zoa colony is slowly going.

The polyps first closeup and then start to turn brown/blackish until it’s gone. Tank is stable, only new additions were quarentine fish about a month ago. Pods and bristleworms show up on the dying polyps at night but that’s just because of the dying tissue I would assume as I don’t think they’re the cause. I don’t have amphipods in the tank, only smaller copepods.

They’re on a base rock of a glued structure so it’s basically going to be what it is as I can’t take the rock out to treat them. Just reaching out to see what exactly it is that’s going on.

My guess is that something is growing in there, or something is eating the zoa's. It could be aptaisia, cloves, hydriods....... I found a cowrie snail eating through my king bowser colony.

Grab a pair of tweezers and a magnifying glass and get in there and carefully push zoa's over and see what's in there.

Hrm. I do have hydroids popping up in places but not like plague proportions. I just went medieval on the plagued area in hopes to save the colony, figure with time it’ll grow back. While ripping it out I didn’t notice anything tho, but clearly something is wrong.
