You have got to be kidding me. Is there no way to set the Red Sea ReefDose to just one dose every other day? This is unbelievable. PLEASE tell me I am wrong lol! I WANT TO BE WRONG! To not have such a simple function..... 🤦‍♂️

Im not seeing an option to dose every other day. Why not just split the dose in two and dose once a day?
It's Dino X, supposed to be dosed every other day. I would prefer to follow the instructions. It's unfathomable to me that they didn't include such a simple function.

To set the Red Sea ReefDose to every other day, open the specific head setting in the ReefBeat app, navigate to the schedule settings, and change the recurrence from "Daily" to "Select days," then choose alternating days of the week. --Red Sea

Ummm... is this reponse a joke? That does not work. I could select M, W, F, Sat.... but then what? Every OTHER day means M, W, F, Sun, T, Th, Sat, M, W, F.... as in every OTHER day 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It wasn't a joke. And being something other than an a** ****on this forum works pretty well.
I mean, is "every other day" confusing? Does that mean something different outside of America?

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Personally if I need to dose once every other day I would just do it manually or have someone do it if I traveled for work.
I would, but Dino X needs to be dosed after lights are out, as per the instructions.

Lol good luck with your Dinos. DinoX is supposed to be does 1 hr after lights so man that’s really gonna be a headache.

I use the alarm on my phone and my physical notebook to keep track of something like this. I also use a pipette. Treatment max is 15 doses or 30 days. Just manual it.

Would it suffice to just say the doser was not designed with this in mind.

I have flashlights and alarm clocks so that wouldn't be a problem here 😉
I actually take my sleep schedule pretty seriously, so all the flashlights in the world won't help, sadly. And it needs to be dosed for a month, not just once. "Every other day" is such a simple concept for anyone who programs anything. Google Calendar allows you to repeat an event every other day, or every 3 days, or 4 days etc. They figured it out LOL!

Can’t you edit the dose schedule every week? That seems like the least amount of work that would be the compromise here?

Pretty sure the issue here is trying to fix dinos by dosing DinoX. Good luck but probability of success is low given historical experience with the product in this board and the other dino groups on the internet.

Well in general terms of dosing elements, every other day would be over engineering imo because you can figure out weekly or daily or monthly consumption and dose according to that rate. It would be silly to base element dosing off an every other day rate. Would be more variable and less stable. Just my 2 cents on the necessary design.

I know Fauna Marin specifies not to dose traces, aminos or do a water change during treatment period. But I think manual removal is the best treatment so I would manually remove as much on a night you are intending to dose. You could filter the water pulled and put it back if you want. I’d be too lazy and just use new water and roll the dice.

Yep, that's really the only way to do it. I will edit it every week 🤦

Right under the actual dosing information is section called recurrence.
You can select daily or select days
