I believe every tank should have a lid. Why? Because every fish has the ability to jump.

Fire fish, wrasse, gobies. Yes, those are the standard fish that can jump.

I’ve been looking for my blue tang for 2 months ever since my brother noticed it was missing. My fish are all quarantined so it’s not likely it died from diseases. I was disappointed in myself.

After 2 months I look on top of my tank (there’s a canopy) and I see a yellow tail. My blue tang, dried and lifeless. It was very sad.

Please protect your investment and get a lid. I did not know tangs could jump. While it’s not likely, I learned anything is possible and Murphy’s law really comes out to bite you where you least expect it.
