For those that updated their mobile app today and received the "Authentication error" and unable to access your devices as result, you might try resetting your password to a new password or the same password as before. This will take you to the mobius website for that. Once I did that, the app worked for me and the authentication error was gone.

I am glad to see changes that potentially resolved the most recent issues.

Unfortunately the change management of this rollout for the end users could be improve to say the least.

i have had repeated issues with Mobius… full of bugs & they are pushing out products faster than quality control / r&d is keeping up, imo…

why should I have to power cycle, reset, and etc… 1/2 the time I try to control a unit?!?! Definitely not “high end”

regret going with ecotech…

I've already moved away from my Vectra in favor of a Cor20 since my apex never goes down. I'm hoping that my MP40s and lights can just be set and forget and I won't need the app as often. Also holding out hope that in the coming months Apex releases something to control mobius devices.

Why do we need a connection to Mobius servers in order to perform local communications with equipment via bluetooth?

This was my question in a support email that they ignored multiple times.

This information is very valuable to ecotech.

They want to know as much as they can about you. Which of their products you use, how you use them, how long you’ve used them, how many different people registered a device (bought used), etc. Hell, many of our aquarium devices are bluetooth. They can fairly easily see what other bluetooth products you own and send the list to ecotech. They don’t need to be able to connect to the other devices, they just have to scan and see what’s out there. If you make this mandatory, you get much more data.

To be fair, it does help them make better decisions, as well as products more focused on what their customers want. The end goal is obviously $$ though. For the most part, i’m fine with this.

I used to get that message every few days. Only fix I found was to create a new tank and put just the pumps in it.

I am selling off my XR30 and XR15 pros as well as 2x MP10QD and I've already sold my Vectra. I'm done and going all Apex.
I am waiting for neptune to make a single-pump dos (the uno?), as well as neptune sky v2 + non-rms arm mount; then done with ecotech for good!

I’d respond in your vendor feedback post, but it seems I am locked out of posting there now…

You mentioned you bought from wwc and had issues within weeks. For future reference, I always buy with a credit card to 1) get free 2% back, and 2) have the ability to dispute a transaction. If they would not refund your money after 2 weeks of issues, you can open a dispute with the credit card company and supply all of these communications as evidence. My credit card company has sided with me 100% of the time. Always a full refund. Keep in mind though, only do this if you never plan on doing business with the company again. It’s within the company’s rights to never sell to you again if you back-charge a transaction.

Unfortunately, there is usually a time limit to easily dispute a transaction, so your only course of action would be to take it to arbitration/court, which may be worth it for $11k.

Good god Mobius is trash, please fire whoever worked on this. I stay the hell away from Ecotech now, replaced my return pumps with Neptune, working on selling the lights off and using the money to buy the Sky lights. This is absolute trash. Sitting here right now with my G5 stuck on over my expensive corals at 11pm at night.

Ecotech = garbage.

Wonder what happened with gecko’s situation. He probably got banned from the vendor feedback forum like i did for being too harsh on ecotech lol.
