Explosions at Boston Marathon

Omg! 2 explosions just went off at the finish line of the Boston marathon! They don't know the cause but it sounds like there's massive injuries...

Being treated as a crime scene, believed to be intentional explosions, but not confirmed.

Political/Racist rhetoric, speculation and comments will not be tolerated and will be immediately deleted. If continued, infractions will be given. R2R is not the place for such commentary.

I was just about to post this. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected, traumatized, injured, and/or killed. I find it so interesting that some of my friends last month were telling me about how bombs are not a real issue in the U.S. It is sad that we tend to wait for things like this to happen before we take action as a country. I am not saying I am ashamed of being an American or anything. I am just saying that I hate how people have to die for certain dangers to be "real".

So sorry to be seeing this. They are saying right now 2 dead and many injuries. But they can't tell. I would sadly say that it's more. :(

I will not share the pictures on here due to how graphic they are but my jaw literally dropped whenever I saw some of them. I do not know what to say other than horrific.

A reporter says Newtown families were in the VIP section next to the explosion. Unreal. There are sick individuals in this world. Sad, Sad day.

This is sickening. Obviously loss of life and limb is number one concern, but those folks worked so hard to get into that marathon as well. Just sad on many different levels. Thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. I pray also that they find the sick sob(s) that did this.

Originally they said that there was an unrelated fire, at the JFK Library, caused by a faulty "mechanical" issue...Now they're saying that there was an explosion, at the JFK Library, and believe it to be related...

There's been mention of a "possible" fourth and fifth device found...The third device was discovered and "safely" detonated by authorities.
