Can the Apex 0-10 dimming cable be extended with cat5? Do the pairs match up correctly if you just use a female/female adapter and run cat5 to the head unit? If they don't, can I make my own RJ45 configuration to match theirs and then extend it with a female/female and the reordered cat5 pairs?

I’ve extended the stock cables with cat5, though I spliced it in rather than doing RJ plugs. The other option is to use an 3.5 mm stereo extension cable.

I took out the ballasts in my aquatic life fixture and put in dimmable ballasts. I changed the pairs so each ballast does one bulb in the front and one in the back but I forgot that I wanted to have them both exit the same side of the fixture. There's so many dang screws and I had to add so much wire that I'm just looking for the easiest extension. Just going to use a female RJ45 and call it a day.
