Well I thought I’d post this just b cause I am rather proud of it and turned out pretty well. I have been running out of room in my sump for some time now. Trying to get reactors, pimps, ato’s, dose tubes, etc. into my sump. Well I decided to put on an extension.

Fortunately enough I work at a commercial cabinet manufacturer and have access to a 20ft table router. I came up with a design of what I wanted to accommodate all the things that I needed.

Had the guys create the cad files and.....

.....boom! Sump extension!

Ok......little more work then that but I am no where near good at glueing acrylic together so I’m going to skip how I did that.

So I made a template of what I wanted to cut out, drained the sump and prayed it worked and hoped I didn’t destroy my sump.

After some tweaking and pulling and so on I was able to get the extension glued on. Thinking back I should have just taken the whole thing out instead of tried to glue it on underneath the tank.

After redoing all the wires and replumbing a few things here is the final result. I did end up with a very tiny pinhole leak that I will have to fix but I need to get some more acrylic.
